the press release:

Bug Show at Parisi This Saturday

Local artists, Charles Nissen, opens with the newest show and his latest theory: “In an effort to create more affordable paintings, I decided to try painting a series of smaller works. This creates somewhat of a problem, as it is my desire to paint subjects ‘larger than life’ Bugs are the solution to this dilemma. Yes Bugs!”
Charles Nissen gracefully passes from the surreal into the “micro-real,” with the Bug
Show, the creepiest crawliest show in town.
The bug models were chosen primarily by artistic standards: color and its variations + patterns and distinctions + creepiness = artistic quotient.
Parisi Gallery is pleased to host the Bug Show on Saturday, April 11, 6-9 p.m. with refreshments, good humor and a plethora of Arthropods.
  See you there!
